Borusan Contemporary continues to bring together important representatives of contemporary art with the new collection exhibition, Water Reverie, March 21, 2020-March 7, 2021. The exhibition curated by Necmi Sönmez proposes to develop trans-disciplinary readings of works through relating the new works acquired for the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection and the oeuvre of Edip Cansever—a critical figure in Turkish poetry.

The exhibition focuses on the new possibilities of expression in visual arts as well as the works’ interactive relationships with the viewers. The connections drawn between the universal language of poetry and contemporary images present the viewers with an extraordinary experience. Works by important contemporary artists, including Peter Coffin, Thierry Dreyfus, Boomoon, Ellen Kooi, Frank Thiel, Michael Wolf, Antti Laitinen, Rafaël Rozendaal, Jim Campbell, Marizio Nannucci, are presented alongside lines of poetry by Cansever.

The title of the exhibition, borrowed from Edip Cansever's eponymous poem, was translated into English by Julia Tillinghast.
