Oktay Orhun

OKTAY ORHUN

Oktay Orhun was born in Istanbul in 1985. He studied Cinema-TV at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University but left before graduating. He completed his bachelor's degree in Art History at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He also earned master’s degrees in Western and Contemporary Art from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and in Architectural History, Theory, and Criticism from Istanbul Bilgi University. He has worked as a freelance educator and writer and has lectured at various universities. For over a decade, he contributed critical reviews to numerous periodicals.

Since 2025, Oktay Orhun has been working as an editor at Arter. In addition to his academic and publishing work, he is involved in strategic planning and project management in the cultural and artistic field. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
